ডা. সামিয়া আফরিন

Dr Samia Afrin is a Medical Content Writer at Shohay Health. She completed her foundation training at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, the second-largest public hospital in Bangladesh.

Dr Afrin is a passionate advocate of evidence-based health communication. She has been working with Shohay Health for more than three years. During this time, she has authored more than 70 pieces of evidence-based medical articles which have clocked more than a million reads.

Dr Afrin has completed her MBBS from Chittagong Medical College with honours in anatomy. While in medical school, she worked as a Joint Organising Secretary in the Chittagong Medical College Research Club to organise workshops on research methodology and facilitate student engagement in medical research. During the coronavirus pandemic, she led a team of volunteers to raise funds and helped 89 economically vulnerable households.
